Bags for High School

Being in school uniform, it is only these bags that can help identify a student. A lot of thinking would therefore be required before choosing the so-called identity!

These bags for high school are available in different sizes, colors and designs to suit the taste of every modern student. There are those ‘Tote Bags’ that any girl would want to own. These ‘Tote Bags’ come in several shapes and sizes with designer prints that would attract any girl’s attention. The material used is different for each bag and each pattern is unique. Some bags have plain colors while others have prints in attractive color combinations. With so many brands to choose from it would be quite a decision when finally a bag is selected.

The Aztec bags need a special mention in that some of the bags in that range are recycled rice bags, unbelievably remodeled that it would be difficult to believe that these are recycled rice bags. It would be quite unique to own such a bag.

Students will go for bags that suit their needs. Those carrying their laptops would perhaps go for the larger size with a strap that would hold it in place around their waist. Most manufacturers keep this in mind while making these bags for high school. Whatever the type, be it Tote bags, backpacks or gym bags, every bag is designed with the student in mind These bags for high school have unique features that each bag is distinctly different from the other, at the same time user-friendly. Most of these bags for high school have more than one section with zips for easy operation and handles, either single or double with a locking device.

Boys are not left behind in that most brands including, Adidas, Nike and Reebok have bags for high school not just for girls, but specially designed bags with boys in mind mostly in shades of black or blue with intricate patterns and of course keeping in mind the needs of the male students.

Some makers of these bags have gone a step further, asking students for their own designs which could be quite exciting when the bag turns up on your doorstep with your own design.

The students could place an order for their bags online after making their selection keeping in mind their needs and the price they can afford to pay. Once the booking formality is completed, the order is normally home delivered.

Shopping Conveniently From the Malls

These structures came into being after the end of the Second World War as more people started to live in the urban places. They are of various kinds such as strip, walk-in and mega shopping malls. They have childcare, casinos, zoos and every facility you can think of under one roof. A visit to these superstructures can in fact be an outing for the whole family. Your kids can enjoy the aquarium or a display of toy train while you buy things in a relaxed way. You can get various items like, clothes, chocolates, cell phones, furniture, crockery and more. The best thing is that you do not have to go from one store to the other looking for things. It is very convenient as you can go to these shopping malls for buying your needs. You do not have to worry whether it is raining heavily outside. You can carry on with your buying without fearing the bad weather outside.

Shopping can also act as a therapy for chasing away the blues. Walking through the crowded place packed with people and lively music can uplift your mood and ease away the stress to an extent. Retail therapy can cure thousands of men and women. Buying things elevates our mood and makes us feel better. If you do not have the money to splurge yourself into buying things, you can have a look at the things. Though the owners may feel dismayed, people enjoy looking at the displayed items and know about the latest arrivals and spend their time in comfort.

There are three classes of shopping malls such as regional, super regional and outlet. The regional ones are larger than the conventional ones and consist of a wide variety of stores. The super regional ones are even larger in area than the regional ones. At an outlet center the products are sold directly to the buyers by the manufacturers. The retailers also sell goods which are returned and discontinued at heavily discounted prices.

These complexes also contain a food court which consists of vendors of fast food surrounded by a seating area. You can sit there with your friends and family and enjoy the food. You do not have to go from store to store searching for the things in shopping malls. Besides you can go on buying without worrying about anything. Your kids can enjoy at the kid’s corner while you have a look at the different stores. Besides it works as a retail therapy. You may even enjoy the time without shelling out money from your pocket.

Diamond and Gemstone Rings

A diamond is the hard substance known. Diamond rings symbols of everlasting love and affection. Many men become overwhelmed when they go to purchase diamond and/or gemstone rings. There are many styles, band widths, and settings. The size and weight of the stone is also something that will play into the decision, but I digress.

Here is a quick overview of ring settings. Settings are defined as the manner in which a stone is place on a ring. An example of a setting is the traditional solitaire was engineered by Ifanes. It is a single diamond set in either a four or six pronged mounting high above the band. This allows the most light to refract in the stone. This setting is also very easy to clean and is also less expensive than other settings.

Another setting is the Diamond Accent setting. The stones used are smaller. The Channel Street Baguette style are stones set into the band that accentuates a center stone.

Gemstone settings are basically any setting with a combination of diamonds and other precious stones. The colors of the other stones enhance the beauty and sparkle of the diamond (i.e. rubies, emeralds, or sapphires). One way to do this is put a diamond in the center with the birthstones of the couple on either side. Later if children come along their stones could be added as well. Gemstones rings can be made with almost any precious stone such as Fancy Gems, Sapphires, Topaz, Emerald, Black Onyx or a Ruby.

The Truffle setting usually accompanies a three stone ring where a large stone has a smaller stone on either sided and is a design where loops on each of the stones connect the stones together. There are many combinations of metals, diamonds and gemstones that can be created. You need to decide what you want and what you can afford and come up with the perfect ring.

Both gemstones and diamonds can be cut in round, rectangular, or oval. Shapes such as hearts or diamonds are also used particularly in gemstones. Almost anything is possible.
When choosing a diamond ring or a gemstone ring you should consider your budget bearing in mind that taxes, insurance, and warranties will add to the cost of the ring. The likes and dislikes of the person who will receive the ring is crucial to your decision. For example you see this exquisite diamond ring that has the birthstone of the person to whom you will give the ring. It so happens that the ring is in your price range. Right next to it is a very simple diamond in a solitaire setting and it is very pretty.
Now you think the more exquisite one is perfect and you purchase it. When you give it you can’t help noticing a look on their face that you can’t explain. Later it is explained to you that simple designs are more the persons style so you return the ‘gaudy’ ring for the simple solitaire one.

So think about your budget. Think also about the recipient do they wear jewelry and if so is it simple in design or are they more the type that loves ornate pieces. Know that for the most part your choice will be gratefully accepted. Good luck!

Wholesale Jewelry

Most of the time, brick and mortar stores won’t be able to give you the best discounts on fashion jewelry. They have higher overhead costs, and even when they do offer savings the discounts you will get won’t be as high as retailers who don’t have to factor in commercial rents and so on. Online shops usually have better wholesale fashion jewelry prices, and will almost always offer a wider selection to choose from.

So looking for jewelry online at wholesale prices has a lot of perks that fashionistas benefit from. You can often get the most trendy jewelry pieces at significantly less than the prices you would have to pay at a high fashion outlet in a city street. There are tons of different pieces to choose from, ranging from the classy and preppy to the wild and gothic. If you can buy at wholesale, the jewels you get will be affordable enough to be a one-time-only piece but also durable enough to be used as daily wear. You can buy an entire set that’s perfectly uniform, or you can mix and match different styles for a zany look that is all your own. It’s easy to see why so many women try to shop wholesale.

Now, let me say that you can’t buy all your fashion jewelry wholesale, since there are some limitations to what is available. If you are looking for a one of a kind, 100 percent unique bracelet, ring, or necklace, then even an online wholesale fashion jewelry outlet probably won’t be able to provide it. Wholesale jewelry also is not usually designer jewelry. People who want to have a brand name “plastered” across their gems will have to look elsewhere. Never the less, wholesale jewelry will help you show off your personal style, make a great fashion statement, and do all that while at the same time offering you a discount.

Believe it or not, one of the most common industries that uses wholesale fashion jewelry is the modeling business. Models, photographers, fashion designers, and even actresses rely on the inexpensive beauty that wholesale fashion jewelry can give them. This stands to reason. Fashion jewelry is a natural pick for photo shoots because it’s made to shine under a photographer’s lighting. Getting jewelry sets at wholesale prices is a cost effective way to add glitz and glamour to any shoot. No wonder they are Hollywood’s biggest fashion secret!

Buying Estate Jewelry For Your Mother

Check around!

Quality jewelry isn’t cheap so before you even start shopping check around with co-workers, friends, and family and see which stores or web sites they recommend for purchasing fine jewelry from. Also take note of the ones they tell you to stay away from. Other peoples experiences are a great method of finding the best jewelry store available.

Get it Written Down

If you’ve been talking with a sales rep then have them write down all the information they’ve given you including the stores policy on refunds and returns. If you are buying online then print out all the detailed information supplied on the web site including contact information, return policies, and refund policies.

Watch The Markings

Gold plated is not 14 karat gold. Some might try to lead you to believe this but its just not so. 14K jewelry is made of 14 parts of gold combined with 10 parts of a base metal.

Gold plated means that the cheaper base metal has simply had a layer of 10K gold bonded to it. Eventually the gold will wear away and leave you with the ugly base metal. How long it takes to wear away will depend on how well it is plated, how often you wear it, and how your skin reacts to it.

There are two different watch styles, the battery operated and the winding style. You’ll have to decide which type is best for your Mom. You’ll also want to find out how long the warranty is and what it covers.

A personal experience with a higher end watch maker left me rather amazed. I had managed to wear the gold plating off the band which was listed in the life time warranty as covered. However upon sending it in for replacement I found out I had neglected to read the fine print that had a list of exclusions on the life time warranty.

So the moral of the story is read and read it all. Don’t have a big surprise later on. That replacement band cost me half the value of the original purchase price. Ouch!

Understand Gems

You need to understand the different between a natural gem that comes from mother earth and a synthetic or laboratory created gem that is man made. To look at them side by side you cannot visually see any differences. But the biggest difference is in the price.

Natural gems cost a great deal more. So if you really want a natural gemstone then you’ll have to pay more. When buying a natural gem make sure that you understand what you are getting. Natural gems can have treatments that enhance their beauty. Enhanced natural gems are not worth the same money as a natural natural gem and they may also require special treatment so that they don’t become damaged or loose their luster.

You can buy beautiful real pearls and imitation pearls. Real pearls come from oysters or mollusks where imitation pearls are man made. Cultured pearls come from oysters or mollusks but man intervenes by adding an irritant to cause a pearl to grow within the shell. Pearls that are natural and not cultured are rare and very expensive and there really isn’t any difference except for mans little bit of intervention.

Diamonds are forever is deep in meaning. One being that a diamond will quite literally last forever. You need to consider cut, color, clarity, and weight when choosing a diamond. Each of these factors will affect the price of the diamond. Color can be graded on a scale but the scales are not consistent as there is no industry standard scale so make sure you understand the scale for the specific diamond you are looking at.

A chain is always a wonderful choice for a jewelry gift for your mother. Either gold or silver are excellent choices. Chains are available in many lengths so you can choose a length that is appropriate for your Mom. You can also boy many different styles from the very dainty to bold and noticeable. Add a pendant if you like.

Festival Chic for Plus Size Women

Layers are Lovely: Think pretty summer dress with a cute vest peeking out underneath, perhaps a vintage denim waistcoat on top? (We love this one: Or, try layering two contrasting vest tops together with your favourite designer jeans (if you are a plus size try stretch jeans which have elastane woven in, usually about 2% of the fabric mix, perfect for girls with curves, very comfortable to wear and you’ll look fabulous!) – mix and match to your heart’s content.

Floral prints are your friend: Floral summer dresses are all over the high street right now, in all sorts of styles to suit everyone including plus size girls. Find one you love and have fun accessorising it dozens of different ways. Alternatively, spruce up plain outfits with delicate floral scarves, either loosely draped around your neck, or used as head scarves for real hippy style. Artificial flowers are in to – the bigger the better, in all the colours of the rainbow, clip them in your hair, on your jacket, on your bag, on your belt, let your imagination go wild!

Espadrilles are excellent: Espadrille’s are like a more grown up wedge, and they’re very now. As luck would have it, they’re also very comfy, so definitely worth investing in to wear with your festival inspired finds. They look best with shorter styles though – so if you’re happier in a midi/maxi style summer dress, you’re better off choosing some strappy wedges instead. But be wary of the weather, if it is going to be a muddy festival you either need to be prepared to throw away those espadrilles after the festival!

Vintage is in vogue: The reason most Boho-Babes look so individual, is because they really are – they spend hours scouring charity shops and vintage fairs for all the quirky elements to their perfect ensemble. If you don’t have time for that, don’t worry – a few carefully chosen new pieces can easily work together to create a vintage inspired illusion. A belt with an antique style buckle would look fabulous nipping in the waist of a floaty summer dress. Or a stretch denim waistcoat would work brilliantly over those layered vests to add a vintage looking twist.

Accessories can make or break a festival inspired look. Take a simple sleeveless Plus Size Dress – it’s pretty, yes, but it’s not festival chic. Yet. Add a 60’s inspired floppy hat, some massive sunglasses, a string or two (or three) of beaded beauties, a funky belt (we recommend tan), a stack of boho bangles, and voila – true Glasto-style Glamour.

Save Money at Garage Sales

First, know in advance what you are shopping for. When you shop for clothing, have a list of exactly which clothing items each family member needs along with their measurements. Carry a soft tape measure with you. Since items can’t be returned from a garage sale, you don’t want to make any mistakes. When shopping for an item for your home, bring an small sample of the color you are looking for. Out in the bright sun, colors may appear differently so having a color swatch helps.

Equally important to knowing what you’re looking for, is knowing how much you want to spend. Before you go garage sale shopping, know the retail price of each item you are looking for. This information makes it easier to spot a deal. Since it’s so easy to get caught up in the buying spirit, have a dollar amount in mind for what you are willing to pay for each item used. There’s nothing worse than getting home and realizing that you paid more than you wanted to.

At each garage sale, if you don’t see what you are looking for, don’t be afraid to ask. Last month I went in search of a girls 24 inch bike. I inquired at each sale, and at the fourth sale, the lady wheeled out a beautiful Huffy bike from her garage that she wanted to sell, but forgot to set out. It was in great shape and at a great price, but I know if it had been out when the sale started, it would have been gone by the time I arrived.

Go early, or late to sales. This strategy is an easy one. The first ones to a sale get first crack at the good stuff. By attending later, sellers may be more willing to negotiate on price. You will encounter sellers who practically give stuff away just to get rid of it. Make sure you are prepared to shop. By that I mean, know where the garage sales are in advance, so you can plan the best route to take. Bring drinks and snacks, especially if you are taking the kids with you. Have singles and loose change easily accessible so you can buy quickly and move to the next sale. Be sure and wear comfortable clothing, especially shoes.

Here in Florida, entire communities hold their garage sales on the same day. Look for areas in your town that may do the same. Many sales close together helps you maximize your time, and gives you a better chance of finding what you are looking for. I have found everything I could ever hope to find at garage sales. Some of my best treasures include an English riding helmet for my daughter, the first handheld Nintendo video game (now a collectors item), and a set of china for 8 that retails for over $500 (of course I paid significantly less). Now that you know these tips and tricks, you can reel in some great deals too. Happy Hunting!

Moissanite Bracelets

With prices ranging from $1000 to $3000 and above, it is evident that moissanite bracelets are worn by a cross-section of jewelry lovers, far larger than the diehard “diamond set.”

Besides being the most ostentatious(the wrist is almost always in motion and on display), the bracelet is a piece of jewelry that takes far more punishment than most other kinds. The fact that moissanite are as scratch proof, unfading and color-consistent as diamonds goes a long way in making them the stones of choice for this accessory.

Owing to the repeated wrist motions we engage in at any given time, a moissanite bracelet puts the stone’s fire and brilliance on spectacular display. Moissanite, it must be remembered, has a refractive index (brilliance) of up to 2.69 as compared to that of diamond (2.42) and a dispersion (fire) of 0.104 over a diamond’s 0.044. Furthermore, its luster – or the amount of reflected light – usually exceeds that of a diamond by as much as 2.3%.

The process involved in creating a moissanite involves subjecting silicon carbide – or SiC – to as much as 1200 degrees of heat and up to 50,000 atmospheres of pressure. The resulting stone is much larger than naturally occurring diamond and can be far more intricately crafted. A moissanite bracelet, when chosen by a discerning buyer, is therefore a matchless wrist adornment.
