Let’s use Christmas shopping for example. We all know the malls and stores are usually crowded shoulder to shoulder therefore taking any fun out of shopping. It wouldn’t be so bad if we only had one gift to buy but we all know we usually visit at least eight or nine stores while Christmas shopping. In fact some of the stores might not even be in the same mall and we may have to drive to another mall for our shopping.
So now let’s talk about discount shopping online. We get to sit down in the comfort of our old home and surf as many stores as we want in search of that perfect gift. Searching is only pressing the mouse moving on to the next store. Convenience is an issue when it comes to buying off of Internet stores. We don’t have to fight any battles, fight for parking spot, wait in long lineups or battle the weather that maybe 40 below zero.
Sure people will tell us that going to the mall is good for exercise. I say we focus on discount shopping online, we buy what we want and when it comes to exercise we can go for a walk, a jog, go to the gym or we can do anything else we might want to do.
Just think about this for second, all you need to do is press a few buttons to do your discount shopping online and then in a few weeks all your purchases will arrive in plenty of time to get wrapped, get put under the tree and wait for Christmas.
It’s okay to take advantage of convenience. We live very busy lives and in most cases time is even more valuable than money. You can throw away $.25 and get it back 5 min. from now but if you waste 2 min. it’s time you will never get back.
To be honest with you the list of positives far outweigh the list of negatives when it comes to shopping online versus traditional shopping at the retail outlets. Retail outlets will always have a spot in our society but they need to realize that the world is a changing place and many more people are shopping using their computer. Therefore discount shopping online is not something that is going to go away anytime soon.
